Fab Flats Friday

Admittedly the title of this post belongs in Woman magazine or the like. I frankly dont care though because the sun is finally shining, Im taking my suitcase (Ill be the Only Girl on the Campsite with a Minicase – people will point and laugh) down to Port Eliot today for three days of FORESTS, RIVERS and WORDS. Oh, and a bit of fash-actioncourtesy of the British Fashion Council. Therefore its FUN Friday and this is the height of intelligence youll get from me.

Of course “Fab” isnt the only word to describe Nicholas Kirkwoods burgeoning group of flats. Ever since S/S 10, hes worked in a butterfly sandal and a brogue, both of which I own, that do more than just fill a practical gap for flats.

Looking back on early fashion shows is always fascinating and it shows us how far fashion has come but this particular video is extra special. It transports us back to a time when models like Claudia Schiffer, Carla Bruni, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista, Nadja Auermann, Naomi Campbell, Shalom Harlow, Eva Herzigova, Kirsty Hume and others ruled the runway.

Ah, the memories.

HES the shoe designer who hit the headlines for his naughty little marital message to celeb customer Kate Moss.

Terry de Havilland gifted Ms Moss a pair of customised Seventies-style red snakeskin platforms – one bearing the message f*** you and the other f*** me, spelled out in Swarovski crystals.
